So, in mid July, the festivities honour the Virgen del Carmen, highlighting the maritime procession and popular open-air dances. August brings the Fiestas del Grao with many “pa i porta” dinners, and the Santa Bárbara festivities which include the traditional “bou en corda”, to complete the summer festivities calendar.
With the Fiestas del Grao and the fiestas de Santa Bárbara in August, the streets of the maritime districts fill with people celebrating their festivities of vast popular tradition.
