How get here? Location and transport facilities
Burriana is strategically located in the Plana Baixa region, 12 km. from Castellón and 56 from Valencia. It is also well communicated with two of the essential points within the Spanish geography: 406 kilometres from Madrid and 293 kilometres from Barcelona.
The municipality can be accessed by means of any method of transport:
- By air: as we have Manises airport in Valencia just 65 km. away.
- By train: The trains running on the Valencia-Castellón line stop at regular intervals throughout the entire day. There are also regular train connections with the main Spanish and European cities.
- By road: The AP-7 Motorway (exit 48) takes you to the entrance to the city, which borders the Mediterranean, to link with the European network, as does the N-340 Highway, which runs parallel to the Motorway.
- By sea: Recreational crafts can reach Burriana by sea and moor on the docks provided by the two marinas which operate inside the port.
Travellers arriving by sea will be welcomed at the modern marina, located inside the port.
Some other ways of accessing Burriana include the airports in Reus (Tarragona) and in Barcelona, as well as via the ports of Valencia and Castellón. Lastly, the Castellón-Costa Azahar airport is under construction, located 20 minutes from Burriana and enabling to welcome travellers from all over the world.
